This is a pitch for starting something scary

You’re afraid to start sharing your opinions with your audience.

Because what will they think?

Because why would people care about me?

Because you have no ‘audience’.

You’re afraid to admit to yourself that you want to become the best in the world in doing this thing.

Because what if you fail?

You’re afraid to share your views with your boss.

Because what will she think?

You’re afraid to tell your friend that you expect more.

Because it seems easier to just accept and change yourself.

But…

Everything worth pursuing becomes harder before it becomes easier.

Eventually, everyone is just winging it.

So…

Your voice is the starting point.

You’ll find your audience.

Your opinion is important.

And you’ll find a new boss.

Your dreams are worth pursuing.

And you’ll get back up, if necessary with help.

Your friend might cry.

But a worthwhile friend will understand.

It’s not going to be easy.

Did you expect it to be?

It’s going to be trial and error.

But did anything stop you from trying to walk? Or talk?

Find your voice.

Find your dreams.

Find your childlike enthusiasm.

Starting something scary is so much more valuable than starting something easy.

You’ll learn.

You’ll grow.

You’ll understand.

You’ll discover more about yourself.

You’ll discover more about others.

You’ll discover more about life.

You’ll create a body of work.

You’ll find the others.

You’ll inspire others.

You’ll be fulfilled.

They need you.

They will be inspired.

Your kids, your tribe, or strangers.

They might start something scary because of you.

Lead them the way.

You’ll learn the goal is the path.

You’ll learn the obstacle is the way.

So don’t hesitate to start something scary.

Because more scary will make you the best version of yourself, serving the people in your tribe.
