On success and patience

Success arises when you do the same thing for an unreasonably long time.

Becoming the fastest speed skater in the world.

Having a flourishing local bakery as an entrepreneur.

Becoming the best videographer for dog videos.

Being in constant Zen meditation mode.

Whatever your definition of success is.

Takes time to get there.

It requires patience.

Patience arises purely from self-knowledge and self-control.

Both are acquired through learning.

Learning about your physique.

Learning about your emotions. Skills. Flaws.

Learning through consuming information.

Learning through trial and error.

We don’t know at which rep we become successful.

But what we do know is that if we can keep up for long enough we’ll get so good that we make it.

Success needs patience.

Patience will give you the ultimate edge.
