Raising the bar

Men want to build legacy, leave the world a better place, grow, be better, faster, stronger, further. But to what end?

Is it to live ‘more’ of a life than others while being here? Life is no competition. You can’t live ‘more’ than someone else. Why would you want to win from someone else, unless it’s a play?

Or is it to have a feeling that your relatives live a good life after you’re gone? But that’s just so hypothetical it doesn’t make sense.

What’s raising the bar to you?

And do you raise the bar (by accident) to achieve something

Or do you assume that raising the bar is an achievement itself.

It seems a subtle difference, but worth investigating. It’s actually the complete opposite.
