Ownership Vs leadership

Ownership is taking responsibility for the result. For everything that influences the mission in or beyond our control.

Leadership is taking care of our people. Often it comes with placing the success of others above our own with (selfless) acts that require bravery and vulnerability, growing trust and faith.

Clearly they are different, but in many cases they are the same.

Especially since both have some common enemies: guilt, shame, blame, judgement, and complaint.

And friends: vulnerability, courage, empathy, and curiosity.

Ownership requires leadership.

Leadership requires ownership.
