Going far is an accomplishment, going fast is a means.
Going fast and far is art.
Every time I wanted to go fast, it turned out that going fast wasn’t so much going far (or the other way around).
And cutting corners has never been a proper way to go far. Although if you’re in the business of getting rich quick, this one might be for you.
Working with ideas and idea-oriented businesses every day, I have learnt that one mantra works when you want to go fast with the potential to go far as well: Progress over perfect.
I see this working time and time again.
When people succeed in writing a book (eg. myself amongst them).
When start-ups without a great logo launch their business and get global attention (eg. The Avocado show).
If the goal is polishing until it’s perfect, you should go work in the automobile or construction business.
