Sometimes there’s just too much on your plate. Now there are two routes.
- You recognize there’s too much, and you stop doing anything. Zoom out, take some time to get all your ducks in a row. You only start working again when a) your deadlines are realistic and b) you feel you can manage the workload.
- Either or not recognize there’s too much, and you proceed working like a rat in a wheel because the work just must be done, until you collapse.
Now even though you might think the first one is impossible and the second one is what you’re doing right now. Consider what would happen if you were told that this was your last day on earth.
Would you proceed working?
Exactly.
Now zoom out and reconsider the work you’re doing before you collapse.
