People have ideas all the time. Creativity is part of being an inventive human. It’s part of evolution.
But most people don’t act on the ideas, except for talking about how great they are.
Many people want to be entrepreneurs, few are. Why?
Because entrepreneurs, unlike others, practice (often unknowingly) the 10 hour rule.
When they have an idea, they act. At least for 10 hours. They see new opportunities. They uncover problems. They figure out if they want to follow this path or whether it’s a dead end.
Create, produce, make a round of phone calls, figure out who can help you and talk to them, try, do.
And don’t plan! Most people get stuck in the planning phase, instead of the doing phase. The 10 hour rule doesn’t allow planning.
Follow the 10 hour rule and you’ll discover if your idea is worth following up.
And if it’s worth following up, you’re ready to invest 100 hours. If not, find a new idea.
