You may see it as a statistic

Statistics are thrown around like punches in a boxing fight, nowadays in many many discussions.

We try to blow each other away with ‘facts’: truths we’ve picked up along the way, in school, on social media, at the coffee machine.

Supporting a worldview we’re not ready for to let go of.

Why then, going for a discussion in the first place?

There’s no one statistic more truthful than another.

Although there is useful and useless.

And the thing is.

Underneath every count in statistics is a one situation.

Something. Someone.

Living to it’s utmost potential.

Creating stories, adventures, marriage, kids, friendships, brotherhood, struggle, failure.

Every statistic is made out of single dashes on the chalkboard.

Let’s not forget that.
