My new 2020 performance habits

As 2020 is unfolding and I have had a 2 week holiday, I can now openly say that my new routine is working insanely good and I feel extremely well: mentally as well as physically.

One of my goals for this year is to perform between 70% and 100%, instead of peaking to 100% and then going back to 20-40% every time. Consistency in energy and performance makes me a better version of myself and then more effective in life and business, I believe.

The routine consists of optimizations in behavior. What the habits are:

  • I write in my Purpuz planner every day and plan my day/week/mth for 15 minutes, it provides me with space and focus (absence of decision making for my effort) for the rest of the day.
  • I meditate for 10 minutes every day
  • I write a blog for 5-10 minutes every day
  • I record an audio podcast for 5 minutes every day
  • I prep all my lunch meals weekly
  • I work out 4 times a week
  • At 10PM and at last 11PM I go to sleep, and rise at 6:15
  • No phones in the bedroom, only e-readers/books and bed/blanket and humans
  • I eat intermittent 16/8 (skip breakfast) to give my intestines a rest
  • Max 2 cups of coffee a day, so make it quality coffee

How I feel about it:

  • This morning I woke up 30 minutes before the buzzer… That was a LONG time ago.
  • I feel energized the whole day (instead of peaking)
  • I’m exited to do stuff the whole day (mentally) and feel less stress

Why do I write this?

We like to fall back in old patterns. That’s just human. Now that this was so great for the last 2 weeks, I want to do this for the whole year. If I doubt again, I’ll go back here and re-read. Let’s kick ass this year!!
