Learning backwards

How often hasn’t it happened that in a moment I was furious, recalcitrant, not understanding. The moments that I was in intense emotion.

So many of those moments I can replay with a fresher, newer and wiser mind after I’ve learnt so much over the last years – and every day.

And what happens is that with new occurrences of similar situations I’m aware and behave in a more patient, open and free way.

Whether it’s a conversation with my partner, kiddo, colleague, friend, parent, relative, stranger or whether it’s dancing with my self-talk.

It’s interesting to notice that when I look back, I can actually better understand situations from the past. And those pieces of the puzzle one shouldn’t be afraid of, rather just enthusiastic about.
