For that one man, it’s that new arm chair in the living room, that he can relax on after a day of hard labor in the factory. That job by the way, that he values over everything.
For that woman, it’s the sole idea that her four kids will grow up in a safe environment. She would die to make that happen.

What does freedom mean to you?
The majority of people only notices freedom when they’re robbed from it.
May 5th. It’s the Dutch equivalent of Independence day in the US.
The day of capitulation of the Nazi German occupation of The Netherlands.
May 5th 1945.
Whatever freedom means to you, use it fiercely and wisely.
Because freedom is never a matter of course.
