I think I’ve never shared this before, but as you may read between the lines of blogs I’m quite an undertaker regarding personal life optimization.
Amongst things I’ve tested are the 5AM club, running every morning, intense breathwork (wim hof method), cold showers every morning, hot baths, saunas, meditation (several variants), yoga, eating solely vegetarian, intermittent fasting, long (48+hrs fasting) and the list goes on.
Some things stick. Some fade.
Amongst the things that fade is the Wim Hof breathwork. I’ve tried this in 2016/2017 but recently I walked back into it and tried it again.
I’ve found there are great benefits but – as stupid as it may sound – my home environment isn’t comfortable with the sound. So I have to do it out of home, although didn’t do that yet.
I believe the Wim Hof Method has proven benefits for the immune system. Just as the cold shower I take daily.
For all the personal optimization things I believe there’s customization needed. Nothing works for everyone, so pick out the ones that work for you and go with them.
If you’ve never tried, nor read into it: now is your opportunity. The Wim Hof method may just save your life sometime (when your strong immune system fights off a deadly disease) while you just may not be aware of it.
