When I was fat, I ate even when I knew it wasn’t helping me getting slim.
Breaking through the habit is one of the hardest things in life.
That’s why we’re all so unsuccessful doing it.
But what if we knew a trick to break through the habits?
I believe that we can create circumstances for ourselves with easier choices, related to the harder choices.
So that the hard choices become easier and easier. Until we automatically break trough the habit.
To me, these things are essential (in no particular order) to create those circumstances
- Having a morning routine where I connect with my why and plan my day and week (every day)
- Intermittent fasting
- Drink close-to-zero alcohol
Some choices and habits that automatically build on these circumstances are
- Preparing my meals, thanks to more planning
- Not eating in the evenings after 8PM (this made a gigantic difference for me), thanks to intermittent fasting
- Eating less carbohydrates (cookies, chips, sweets, etc) in the day because I’m not craving sugar, thanks to intermittent fasting
- Raising my sports frequency from 1-2x to 3-4x per week, thanks to more planning
What happens is
- It costs me less energy to preserve my body and health
- I am automatically more fit (physically and mentally) for great performance at work and in personal life
All the above is entirely due to the circumstances I have created with smart decisions and habits that are easy to maintain.
