Right before the deadline, that’s not the moment to question it.
Neither is it the moment to rethink necessity.
If, of course, you made the right decision.
But the window for questioning the decision was closed already some time ago.
Now there’s the decision you made, and the work you will have to do, because of a deadline you have committed yourself to.
One thing is for sure now, you’ll learn something.
If you meet the deadline with finished work: Your planning was adequate and your execution effective.
If you meet it with partially finished work or even completely unfinished work: your planning or your execution or both weren’t effective. And either that’s sufficient or insufficient.
If it’s sufficient, you win.
If it’s insufficient, you’ll learn.
Whatever the case, you need to deal with that later.
Now first, go for that deadline with all that’s still available and influence the future.
