Imagine yourself sitting there

Close your eyes.

Imagine yourself sitting in a place where you’re comfortable.

It may be where you are right now. It may be at home, on a sunny beach, in the forest, wherever you like.

And imagine yourself sitting there, and then you see a slight smile appear on your face.

And the smile grows and grows, until you’re smiling from ear to ear.

And now enjoy this for a moment.

Keep your eyes closed.

Now you are where you are right now.

And imagine a smile appear on your face.

Enjoy this moment for as long as you would like.

Visualization is a strong mindfulness technique.

I have learnt this through five years of practicing, and every single time I practice this I’m thrilled by the effectiveness. It surprises me time and time again and I would recommend anyone to start mindfulness today. All you need to do is download an app, Headspace for example. You have meditations starting at 1 minute, or 3, 5, 10, 15. Whatever you like.

Just start today, nurture your brain.
