Individualisation screens

When I was in the lobby of my hotel in Egypt recently, I noticed again what I first noticed 8 years ago.

Everyone (around 10 people) was staring staring at a small screen, except myself and my conversation partner.

I find it rather fascinating that we just can’t stop using our mobile phones.

Even when were in a lobby, a wonderful live act is singing and drinks are served.

Everything in place for a great conversation.

But we insist on being somewhere else, in the small connected screen.

Technology wasn’t made for this. To interrupt personal, deep and interesting connections.

We must stop to let technology abuse us. We must get back in the driver’s seat.
