It’s easy to quit, and the decision is fairly easy as well.
It’s hard not to give up, also the decision is quite hard.
Today as well as yesterday I have heard two stories describing a situation where people didn’t do something they wanted to do in the (far) future. And when it got hard, instead of letting go, they dug deeper. Which is interesting, given that it was an easy decision to quit.
Most interesting I found the discovery that in both these stories the people were happy, proud and felt stronger because they had walked that path.
It taught me that sometimes stuff is hard, and you know that you will eventually quit what you are doing. But still you might need to dig in, and thank yourself later.
