Leaning into the Dip

Becoming great is not the result of never quitting.

It’s the result of the act of quitting the right thing at the right time.

The dip is that moment (it can last for weeks or years) before you reach greatness.

All 30 years of experience, before you become CEO.

Thousands of training hours before your olympic medal.

Not quitting when you want to quit the hard things, mostly is called leaning into the dip.

It’s worth quitting the right thing at the right time.

It’s when you recognize the dip, that you must lean into it and not quit.

That is the path to greatness.
